Likely to be long-lived, the powerful 2019 vintage (5*) was grown on the Karikari Peninsula, in the Far North, and matured for two years in French and American oak casks. It has dense, purple-flushed, inky colour. Fresh and lively, it is bold, with concentrated berry, plum and spice flavours, fresh acidity and buried tannins. Open 2024+.
