The vivacious 2022 vintage (4*) is a blend of Merlot (40 per cent), Pinot Noir (40 per cent), Sauvignon Blanc (10 per cent) and Pinot Gris (10 per cent), grown in Marlborough, Hawke's Bay and Gisborne. Bright pink, it is fresh and vigorous, with attractive strawberry and spice flavours, and a dryish (5 grams/litre of residual sugar), appetisingly crisp finish. Priced right, it offers good drinking for the summer of 2022-23.
