Hunter's Marlborough Pinot Gris (2021)

The very youthful 2021 vintage (4*) was grown at Rapaura and mostly handled in tanks, but part of the blend was fermented in old oak barrels. Made in a dryish style (5 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is mouthfilling, with fresh, vigorous peach, pear and spice flavours, showing very good depth, a touch of complexity and a finely balanced finish. Best drinking 2023+. Good value.
