The 2019 vintage (5*) of Hunter's new 'icon' Sauvignon Blanc was hand-picked from mature (25-year-old), low-cropped vines and partly (10 per cent) fermented in seasoned French oak puncheons. Medium to full-bodied, it is intense, crisp and dry, with punchy, ripe passionfruit/lime flavours, vague toasty notes, firm acid spine, and a long finish. Full of youthful vigour, it's well worth cellaring to mid-2021+.
