Hans Herzog Marlborough Mistral (2017)

Drinking well now, the 2017 vintage (4.5*) is a Rhone Valley-style blend of Viognier (50 per cent), Marsanne (30 per cent) and Roussanne (20 per cent). Estate-grown and hand-picked on the north side of the Wairau Valley, it was fermented and matured for 18 months in French oak puncheons. A golden, fleshy wine with concentrated stonefruit flavours and a dry, well-rounded, very harmonious finish, it's certified organic.
