The 2019 vintage (5*) is a powerful red, from a site managed by Gladstone Vineyard. It was matured for 15 months in French oak casks (25 per cent new). Deep and still youthful in colour, it is ripely fragrant, sturdy and very savoury, with highly concentrated flavours, a slightly earthy streak, excellent complexity and refined tannins. Retasted in mid 2022, it's maturing well and well worth cellaring to 2024+.
