This classy, non-vintage wine is a blend of Pinot Noir (mostly) and Chardonnay, hand-picked in the Wairau Valley, partly fermented in old oak vats and French oak barrels, and disgorged after at least two years maturing on its yeast lees. The sample I tasted in mid 2022 (5*) is deep pink, vivacious and vibrantly fruity, with rich, cherryish, strawberryish, yeasty flavours, showing good complexity, and a dryish, long finish.
