This very classy wine sits above the McDonald Series (but below Tom and 1 Single Vineyard) in the Church Road hierarchy. Still unfolding, the 2020 vintage (5*) was grown mostly in the lower reaches of the Tuki Tuki Valley, hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels. Bright, light yellow/green, it is a powerful, youthful wine, with mouthfilling body, concentrated, ripe stonefruit and toasty oak flavours, fresh acidity and a long finish. Showing impressive vigour and complexity, it should be at its best mid-2023+.
