Brancott Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2021)

This famous wine is promoted as 'the original Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc', since it is descended directly from the pioneering label, Montana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, launched in 1979. It is usually aromatic and medium-bodied, with strong, freshly herbaceous flavours of melons and green capsicums, lively and balanced for early drinking. Priced sharply, the 2021 vintage (3.5*) has a freshly aromatic, strongly varietal bouquet. Full-bodied, it has tropical fruit flavours to the fore, a herbaceous undercurrent, and a crisp, lively finish. Fine value.
