Blackenbrook Pinot Blanc Nelson (2021)

The 2021 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown and hand-picked from young vines at Tasman. Mostly tank-fermented (5 per cent of the blend was handled in old oak barrels), it is invitingly scented and full-bodied. Still very youthful, it is vibrantly fruity, with pear, lychee and spice flavours, showing a distinct touch of complexity, excellent delicacy and depth, and an off-dry (6 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Best drinking 2023+.
