Unfolding well, the 2018 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown on the lower terraces and flats of la collina Vineyard, hand-picked and fermented and matured for 15 months in French oak puncheons (partly new). Bright, light lemon/green, it is weighty and savoury, with deep, citrusy, slightly peachy flavours, and biscuity, mealy notes adding complexity. Best drinking 2022+. The classy 2020 vintage (5*) is a blend of vineyards, mostly a site on Roys Hill that is not la collina. Still very youthful, it is full-bodied, with strong, ripe stone-fruit and biscuity oak flavours, showing excellent freshness, vigour and complexity. Finely structured, it needs time; open 2023+.
