A wine to ponder over, the powerful 2020 vintage (5*) was given 'the absolute minimum of handling', matured for two years in seasoned French oak puncheons, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deep ruby, it has a highly perfumed, complex bouquet. Mouthfilling, it is savoury, ripe and notably concentrated, with good tannin backbone. Likely to be long-lived, it's well worth cellaring to 2025+.
