Well worth trying, the debut 2021 vintage (4*) is a rare blend of South African and New Zealand wines. Shipped to New Zealand in a flexitank container, the Stellenbosch portion was then blended and bottled in Marlborough. Highly scented, crisp and fully dry (1.4 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is medium to full-bodied, with very good vigour and intensity of melon and green capsicum flavours, and does indeed exhibit the ‘sea salt’ notes mentioned on the back label. Very good value.
