Review:
Estate-grown at Cromwell, this wine is hand-picked from especially low-yielding vines. Matured for a year in French oak casks (33 per cent new), the 2015 vintage (4.5*) is deep ruby, floral, weighty, sweet-fruited and supple. It has strong, cherryish, plummy flavours, complex and savoury, and gentle tannins.
