Review:
From gentle, north-facing slopes on the south side of the Wairau Valley, the deep ruby 2017 vintage (4.5*) was matured in French oak barriques (23 per cent new). A very graceful, fragrant and supple red, it is full-bodied, with vibrant, cherryish, plummy, spicy flavours, showing good complexity, fresh acidity, and a smooth finish. Best drinking 2021+.
