Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay

Review:

The winery’s flagship ‘black label’ Chardonnay from Hawke’s Bay is typically intense and finely structured. Grown in the Gimblett Gravels and fermented and matured for a year in French oak puncheons (30 per cent new), the 2017 vintage (5*) is maturing very gracefully. Bright, light yellow/green, it is fragrant, rich and youthful, in a tight, elegant style, with balanced acidity, vibrant, peachy, slightly toasty flavours, showing excellent complexity and concentration, and a long, harmonious finish.
