Review:
From the oldest vines in Bannockburn, planted in 1991, the 2018 vintage (5*) is a ruby-hued, velvety red. Hand-picked and matured in French oak casks (20 per cent new), it was bottled unfined and unfiltered. A very gentle wine, it is mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and supple, with youthful, subtle, delicate cherry and spice flavours, complex and savoury, and a notably harmonious, lasting finish. Best drinking 2022+.
