Stonecroft Gimblett Gravels Hawke’s Bay Cabernet Sauvignon

Review:

The graceful 2019 vintage (4.5*) is a single-vineyard, organically certified wine, matured for 18 months in French oak barrels (15 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is a fragrant, medium to full-bodied red, with strong, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, nutty oak adding complexity, and a tightly structured finish. Still very youthful, it’s well worth cellaring to 2024+.
