Seresin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Review:

This is one of the region’s most sophisticated, subtle and satisfying Sauvignons. It’s also one of the most important, given its widespread international distribution and certified BioGro status. The wine (which includes 5 to 9 per cent Sémillon) is mostly fermented in tanks with indigenous yeasts, but 15 to 20 per cent of the blend is fermented and lees-aged in seasoned French oak casks. The impressive 2018 vintage (5*) was hand-picked in the central Wairau Valley and Omaka Valley. Bright, light lemon/green, it is ripely scented, mouthfilling and lively, with tropical-fruit flavours, showing excellent intensity and vigour, and a dry, long finish. Drink now to 2022.
