Rockburn Central Otago Pinot Noir

Review:

This consistently stylish blend of Cromwell Basin (mostly) and Gibbston grapes typically has concentrated cherry, plum and dried-herb flavours, silky-textured and perfumed. Estate-grown in the Parkburn Vineyard (83 per cent) and Gibbston Valley Back Road Vineyard (17 per cent), the 2019 vintage (5*) was matured for 10 months in French oak casks (33 per cent new). Deep ruby, it is enticingly fragrant, full-bodied and sweet-fruited, with rich fruit flavours, nutty, savoury notes adding complexity, gentle tannins, and a finely poised, harmonious finish.
