Nautilus The Paper Nautilus Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Review:

Named after a paper-thin shell, the estate-grown 2019 vintage (5*) was hand-harvested from mature vines at Renwick, in the Wairau Valley, and fermented and matured for eight months in an 1800-litre oak foudre and a 3000-litre oak cuve. Bright, light lemon/green, it is ripely scented, youthful and tightly structured, with passionfruit-like flavours, a very subtle oak influence, lively acidity, excellent delicacy and vigour, and a lasting finish. A stylish, distinctive wine with obvious potential, it should be at its best 2022+.
