Misha’s Vineyard Dress Circle Central Otago Pinot Gris

Review:

The powerful young 2020 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Bendigo and 23 per cent of the blend was fermented with indigenous yeasts in old French oak hogsheads. Light lemon/green, with fragrant, pear-like aromas, it is full-bodied and vibrantly fruity, with peach and pear-like flavours, gentle spiciness, a very subtle seasoning of oak, and excellent delicacy and depth. Made in an almost dry style (5 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish, it’s well worth cellaring to at least mid-2022+.
