Mahi Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Review:

Offering good value, the 2019 vintage (4.5*) was mostly handled in tanks; the ripest, hand-picked fruit (12 per cent of the blend) was barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts. Matured on its yeast lees for nine months, with some inclusion of Sémillon, it is a bright, light lemon/green, weighty wine, with deep, vibrant tropical-fruit flavours, showing very good complexity, and a finely textured, dry (below 2 grams/litre of residual sugar), lingering finish. It’s drinking well now.
