Review:
This is a leading example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from well outside the mainstream. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in old French oak barriques, the 2018 vintage (4.5*) is still unfolding. Bright, light yellow/green, it is mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and tightly structured, with concentrated, vigorous tropical-fruit flavours, oak complexity, and a crisp, dry, long finish. Best drinking 2022+.
