Greystone Thomas Brothers Waipara Valley Pinot Noir

Review:

Powerful but not heavy, the 2019 vintage (5*) was grown in the steep, exposed Brothers Block, hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts, matured for 16 months in French oak barrels (33 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling, with concentrated plummy, spicy flavours, youthful and complex, and a finely textured, lasting finish. Set for a long life, it’s well worth cellaring to 2024 onwards. Certified organic.
