Gibbston Valley NV Méthode Traditionnelle


This classy wine, from grapes hand-picked in Central Otago, is disgorged after more than two years on its yeast lees. The sample I tasted in September 2020 (4.5*) was disgorged in late 2019. It is very pale straw, with lively, lemony, appley flavours, yeasty and biscuity notes adding complexity, fresh acidity, and a dryish (6 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish.
