Clos de Ste Anne The Crucible Syrah

Review:

The 2015 vintage (5*) is impressive. Grown biodynamically in Millton’s elevated Clos de Ste Anne Vineyard in Gisborne, it was hand-harvested, co-fermented with Viognier (5 per cent), and matured in large, seasoned French oak casks. Deeply coloured, it is floral and full-bodied, with plum, spice and black-pepper flavours, hints of earth and dark chocolate, and notable depth, complexity and harmony. A very distinctive red, it’s delicious now.
