Review:
A regional classic. Certified organic, the 2018 vintage (4.5*) is from the hottest growing season on record. A powerful young red, it was hand-picked from estate-grown, 25 year-old vines and matured for nine months in French oak barriques (20 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and supple, with well-ripened cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing good complexity, balanced acidity and a very harmonious finish. Best drinking 2023+.
