Review:
Estate-grown at Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin, the powerful 2017 vintage (5*) was hand-picked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in French oak barriques. Bright ruby, it is mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and savoury, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing good complexity, and a well-structured finish. Still very fresh and youthful, it’s well worth cellaring to 2022+.
